I located my spots at the two vents under the carpet..one is located next to the battery..that was the one that was leaking the most for me..and the other one was on the opposite side. Sealed it up really well and now there isnt much there at all now. My best guess for you is to follow the rust.

check the rubber seals where the trunklid meets the body. they start to separate in the middle( under the license plate its happening to mine and it still is. got out of hand, now theres RUST ALL OVER.)

Also check your rear shock mounts. If they fail you can get water come up through the wheel arches. The most likely place for this water to collect would be arround the spare wheel.

Good Luck!

If the carpet is never wet, then that would mean the water is most likely coming from underneath.
A good way to test is to make sure everything is dry, then close your car up. Take a watering hose run it around your trunk. Open it up, check for wetness. No wetness, try your back windshield. Check again. Then start under the car. Spry it up in your wheel arches, and anywhere in the back. If you have a coupe check the weather seals on the side windows. it might be coming in through the corner at the back that normally goes bad.
Hope you find your leak! Best o luck!

I had a near incident...but for me...it was the tailights....the water goes along with the trunk then falls out, but i guess my tail light wasn't seal good enough so water goes through them. Check your light bulbs in your tail light. If it's wet then that might be the cause...

i think u may be right... i never found water in the trunk until after i put in my smoked tails... its just been so long since the last rain that i forgot about the tails... im definitely goin to try that...
