Hi,

I currently own a 2000 BMW 323ci with a VF-engineering supercharger and found out the other day that my car failed its smog test. I found out that my supercharger has to be certified by the California Air Resources Board (even though my car actually passed the test). Has anybody heard on VF-engineering's progress towards certification? Or will I have to remove and put back on the supercharger every 2 years just to pass the smog test? Anyone have any suggestions?

Funny, I passed smog on my E30 M3 with an ERT supercharger. The guy thought they call come supercharged so I was lucky.

I think VF is working on CARB status in Cali. Call and ask them. It may involve a new tune from them if I uderstand the situation correctly on the west coast.
