Is this legal? Just curious since you are getting the wheel without an airbag. Are there laws which stipulate that a make (after a certain year) have airbags.

Also since I'm asking... would you insurance care to know? Would this change your policy? I would hate for you to get injured (g/d forbid) and the insurance company weasel their way out of it because you changed/altered a safety mechanism from your car.

Yeah i would only do this if this is a racecar. B/c of the harnesses in a racecar the airbag is moot. But with the street-car i would consider this a bad idea. The insurance company would definitely get out of paying, and you are less safe.

Also of note to people: if you don't have a roll-cage DO NOT put in 5 point harnesses. Standard belts are meant to let the body get pushed to the side as the roof caves in. Harnesses however hold the driver vertical and w/o added roof support a rollover and kill the occupants...just something i have seen a lot of...

i am waitng for sparco seats i will use harnesses .. i want to make this car a race car for the road...

i will put roll cage later and by the way z4m roadster doesnt have a hard top so roof cave problems wouldnt be problem and there are rollbars in z4m roadster:thumbup: later on i will change that too...
