97 Euro M3

My friend had just bought a 97 E36 M3. Jan 97 build 3.2l UK car.

I haven't been given the paint code but need to find the colour. Under the bonnet it says some like carbon........... metallic??? Also has an individual sticker.

I can't find a list of the colour it came in so any help would be appreciated.

Thats it. Was it a standard colour?

Will post some pics of it soon when we start work on it.

Yes standard BMW color. Carbon Schwartz = Carbon Black. Don't think it was offered on the E36 M3...hence the "Individual" sticker. It was a standard color on the E46 M3. It is a very very dark blue that looks black. If the sun is behind you the blue color is obvious.

I'm trying to get the full specs of it off a UK dealer at the moment.

Hopefully the sun will come out then I can see the proper colour. This is the UK afterall though where the sun only appears twice a year.
