Hi all,
Finally comfortable with my '03 X5 4.4 sport to start contemplating some mods. (42k miles)
Anyone here on Long Island running the Dinan Engine software?
Anyone do the Free Flow exhaust? I'd like to hear it if possible. Also one person on bimmerfe$t said they developed a vibaration/ drone at 60mph with this.
These seem like easy intro steps, and the CAI and Throttle body could be done later. I'm leery of the CAI because I sometimes go off road (beach and such) I think that mod would lead to disaster.
Any input or suggesstions would be helpful

Howdy...I think I might be in the same situation as you are. I have a 05 x5 3.0 with about 46,000 miles and started to get the itch to do something as well.

I was thinking of some new rims and maybe an exhaust. I was thinking about doing something custom with the porsche-style double tips. I've seen them on Range Rovers lately and they look pretty nice.

I also wanted to do some mods for my interior as well. I've already added the AUX port this weekend to accommodate my mp3 player. I'm thinking of upgrading the speakers and maybe some other electronic gadgets.

I'm gonna keep looking and maybe even drop by some local shops in CA to see what they have to offer.
