guys, yesterday i found my right front side mirror hanging on to what appears to be, the optical cord that connects to it. as many of you know the "winds" were really strong yesterday and i am hoping the stealers believe it broke as a result. in reality, i think someone simply cracked it accidentally, or on purpose. either way, does anyone know what im looking at cost wise to fix it or replace it? its all intact - the glass, plastic housing, hell even the glass drops down in reverse. any responses would be fantastic. oh my car is 04 745!. cheers!

When cars go 150 mph, or better yet, 100 mph, do the mirrors or other parts of the car break off because of the wind?

It'll be a hard arguement to sell to the dealer.

These cars were designed for autobahn speeds of 150+, ive heard of some going 170 flat out, I doubt winds would break it.

It's a VERY long shot in my opinion. I wouldn't even try making the claim.

I don't even see Tornados ripping off mirrors to a car. And those winds are like 75-100 mph!
