Ok when Starting the car.. i have it idle to warm up and get on the move to school but sometimes it goes out.. and wont come back on.. it just totally shuts off.. so called some place to talk to them about and they thinks its the resistor since it may be over heating.. so i bought a new one but not yet put it in the car.. Can anyone please Tell what is wrong with the A/C

Sorry I can't offer much help with your question, but where in Huntington Beach do you live? I drive a silver '98 M3 sedan and live in downtown Huntington. Do you live nearby? I'd really like to talk to someone with the same great taste in cars that lives in the area...

There's a good chance that it IS the resistor. If you can do the soldering yourself, it's actually not a difficult fix at all.

Good luck

Most time consuming part was finding the capacitor.

Sounds like the final stage resistor. There are several DIY's, just search the forums.
