Hi folks,

I'm selling my old service manual and fault code reader from when I owned my 2000 328i. The manual covers the E46 from 99-01 and the fault code reader is for the ODB1 style connections (round port) ordered from Bavarian Auto (part no. SR 300). The manual's a bit dirty, but all the pages are still in the binding. The fault code reader is in great shape, as is it's own manual. Perfect for the DIYer, these two items paid for themselves the first time I had to work on my car.

Purchased new, they'll run about $250. I'll take $150 for them.

How do you know what ODB1 to use? I have a 01 e46. So I would assume it would fit? Or work on my car?

Your car uses the ODBII connection (a rectangular port instead of rount), but this code reader will work if you purchase the $35 adapter from some place such as Bavarian Auto (part no. SR 300-16A). My Bentley manual does cover your year of E46 though.

Sorry, one small correction here: my Bentley manual states the car uses On-board Diagnostics II (OBDII). However, my code reader is still the round port and BMW changed to a rectangular port in 2001.
