It was too windy to surf, too cold/rainy to hit the skateparks, so I did the only viable thing. Cleaned my engine, finally, yesterday. It needed some attention.

Thanks, Paul! Considering that it was rather filthy/dirty/greasy... it looks pretty decent with only a little effort. I still have to clean/wax the underside of the hood. Typical German foam sound dampener... if you lightly touch it, it flakes off everywhere. Anyone know how much those cost?

When I had my Porsche, I replaced it with a factory one. They were around $60-70 or thereabouts. At least the BMW one is a single piece.

Nice ride, I'm jealous! You can get a new foam from www.pelicanparts.com for about $70... I need a replacement too, mines half gone and looks like mice have been living in it... ;p

Thanks for the kind words and tip on the foam pad. My friend works for them... I'll check it out. That's the only depressing aspect of my engine bay. It's so decomposed, if you touch it, you wear it.
