View Full Version : m3 Sedan Shudder
Hi guys
I got a slight shudder/vibration on my m power. Its a 97 sedan SA Spec with 179000kms on the odo. I am lead to believe it could be a coupling on the propshaft. Any other reasons why it would vibrate.
Thanks

What conditions cause this? Under acceleration, coasting, decellerating? If you can describe the conditions it might help. I think you might be right to check the guibo as it should look like one of these

If it looks different then those or has a lot of cracks then you have the solution.
The reason anything vibrates is because it is out of balance and a cracked guibo or fraid guibo would do that.
Hope this helps
under acceleration the shudder can be experienced. i will get the propshaft checked for any imbalance and also get the coupling replaced.
thanks for your assisstance

I have this problem too. I am thinking it might be a carrier bearing on the driveline or something.
