I have a 1997 328I and my gear indicator came on. I looked it up in my manual and it told me to reference a problem with the transmission. Along with this light coming on my transmission began to slip and had a difficult time getting in and out of gears. (it is an auto) I don't know if there is any correlation but we had an ice storm today and my car was covered in ice when I first moved it. Any help???
