I'm trying to schedule a PCD date of Monday, April 28 for our new 335i sedan (currently in production). I've heard on this forum that the 28th may or may not be available, but do not have final info back from my BMW advisor yet. Any concrete info?
And any definitive info on whether the factory tours will be back online by then? Assuming they are not, are there generally other activities available to fill the otherwise unallocated time this creates during the PCD process?
Thanks!

Hi Larry,
April 28th will be the first day we start back doing deliveries. However that entire week is already full.
The factory hasn't told us anything about the tours. They will put it on their website (http://www.bmwusfactory.com/build/guidedtour.asp) prior to telling us (at least that is how previous communication has taken place :) ). All I can guess is sometime between Spring and Summer :dunno:.
From what I've been told, when they start tours again, it will be for a brief period of time. They will then have to restrict public access again.
What we have done is built our program in a way that the tours do not affect us. Everyone now gets the driving rotation in a vehicle similar to the one being delivered, Off Road course in an X3 or X5, factory Museum and delivery of their vehicle.
Our current rotation will have your day ending around 2-3pm. When the tours open up, anyone taking delivery that wants to go on a tour will have that option at 3pm. If you take the tour at 3pm that will add a little over an hour to your day.
By doing this, it allows us to keep our program more consistant. Let me know if you have any questions.

Jonathan,
Love the website, that drift from Jim Clark is INSANE!
Seriously though, really well done.

Hmmm...my CA is supposed to be "checking" whether May 2nd is open for me, and it's been about 3 weeks since I signed. Maybe he's busy doing something else?:dunno:

I just checked that date for you. Unfortunately unless you are already on it, that day is full.
Unfortunately we will have limited deliveries for May 1, 2, and 5. Donnie and myself will be out in Santa Barbara for Bimmerfest 2008
For anyone that will be out there, stop by and say hello at our booth

You're welcome!
FYI...your CA may have put you on a waiting list for that day, but I don't have access to that information :dunno:

Ok...I told the CA about May 2nd being booked already, and he gave me some half-assed excuse about not getting notification from the automated system:dunno:
So now according to him May 9th is wide open and he will register me. Is there any way I can follow up with you guys independently?
Looking forward to May 9th! (I hope :tsk:)
