Wow! I have been hanging out in the "Z-Series" forum for sometime and just found this forum dedicated to PCD. My PCD is scheduled for 3/20 and I have been searching for information on what to expect when I found all the information listed here. This information is great! Should give me a little more stuff to read to occupy my three weeks before delivery.
Thanks!

The Owner's Choice website now states that my car is at my BMW Center. I assume that means it is now at the Performance Delivery Center for a two week wait.

You got it. They will schedule it to go into our service shop and have the PDI / QC1 (pre delivery inspection) done and install any accessories that may have been ordered. After that it will be handed to our detail staff for cleaning prior to your delivery date.
Look forward to seeing you on March 20th

Thanks for the update. I ordered about $2500 worth of accessories which my CA stated there should be no problem with having them installed for delivery. Very Nice!

Jonathan,
I turned in my current car today and finalized the paperwork for the new car I will pick up next week. I provided my preferences for the key / car memory and my CA stated that he was suppose to send it in last week to guarantee that it will be ready next week. He mentioned that it might have to be done after I return to Houston. Is it too late to have that sent so all is done by next Thursday?
Thanks!

Possibly... It depends on our service shop and how far ahead or behind they are.
Have your CA go ahead and fax it to us. As long as the vehicle hasn't been pulled into the shop for the PDI, they may be able to add the car/key memory to the service order.
The two week rule definetely applies to any accessory that has to be ordered.

Thanks for your help with this. I am unsure if my CA faxed the form in time so either the programming will be done there or when I return. I fly out of Houston tomorrow evening and look forward to meeting you on Thursday!

Jonathan,
The Performance Delivery was an awesome experience! Thanks to you, Donnie, and the rest of the staff for a wonderful time. The performance driving was spectactular and Donnie's Hot Lap was.... WOW!, Awesome!
Also, thanks for the directions to the Smokey Mountains. We had a great drive after we left the Performance Center heading to Gatlinburg. On the next day, we did the "Tail of the Dragon" three times before we ended in Memphis. That was one of the most exhilirating drives I believe I have ever done. When we arrived in Houston, we had ~1480 miles on the car.
Thanks for a wonderful time!
