Hi, I was wondering if someone has a list of BMW mechanics/shops in Seattle/Eastside area that are not rip offs and provide good honest service with reasonable costs?

Any experiences or recommendations? I am planning on getting Water Pump replaced for my BMW 530i 2002. I have been going to dealers but now have realized they are charging way too much.

I have heard that it can cost from $300 - $900 parts and labor. Does that sound about right? And why such a huge difference?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Cheers....

I'll say about $500.00 for an E39.

I had mine done E36 at a BMW shop for like $350.00 a couple of years back.

Do a search of the BMW CCA Puget Sound Region Bulliten Board and website and you'll find several highly recommended independent BMW centric shops. Several offer discounts to BMW CCA members.

Try Eastside Bavarian in Issaquah. They are part of the BIMRS.org group (recommended by others). I got a service done there recently (differential oil change) and the service was great.

I agree they did Inspection 2 for me a couple weeks ago. I will go back for sure.
