My Z4 is scheduled to be built the second week of April. Would May 8, 9 or 12 be feasible for PCD?

Also, how long does it take from the time the CA submits dates until we find out when PCD is scheduled for?

Everything depends on how many reservations have been sent in and the status of your vehicle when we received the reservation.

They process them in the order received. They will not schedule the vehicle until it reaches Status 112 which is start of production (basically has a confirmed production date at that point).

For a Z4 being built the 2nd week of April, you would probably be looking at the second week of May based on availability. If we are already full that week, they would have to possibly bump you out a week.

Hope that helps

Thanks for the info. That answers my question. Hopefully May 12th will work out.

For a vehicle scheduled for week 14, how long before that should it feasibly reach Status 112?

It varies (usually around 4 weeks)... Here is basically what happens:

1- The dealer takes a vehicle that hasn't reached 112 yet and modifies it with your options.

2- Factory process the order changes and places orders with suppliers for your various options.

3- The suppliers will then acknowledge the order and notifies the factory when it will be available to be delivered.

4- Once factory receives that notice from the suppliers they move it into Status 112, which means scheduled for production and parts have been ordered.

thanks for the very prompt, informative and thorough answer. It's nice to have an insider willing to unlock the mysteries of what happens after an order is placed. Thanks very much, Jonathan.

Jonathan,

What would be a realistic PCD date for a E93 dropped off in Nice on May 12?

What is the soonest date I could lock in the PCD date? I am trying to make it adjacent to a 2-day (or even 1-day) school.

Thanks,

It is tough to say...

ED vehicles have to go to Port Jersey and be processed through US Customs. We have been seeing everything from 6 to 10 weeks from drop-off in Europe to re delivery at the Performance Center.

Unfortunately due to the uncertainty of when the VPC will get the vehicle at Port Jersey, we can't offer a date until the vehicle has cleared customs and is turned over to the VPC.

I would suggest if you want to take a 1 or 2 day school to have that noted on the reservation form that your CA sends us. We will try to schedule you on a day before or after one of those schools; if there are any taken place during that time (you may have to wait a couple days longer to match the two up).

I hope this helps. Enjoy your E93 in Europe
