View Full Version : Any plans to add an 8-Series forum?

I'm in the process of adding links to Internet resources at the bottom of each product page for every platform I cover. As I finished up the 8-Series page, I noticed that Bimmerfest has no forum for the E31 platform. Any idea why not? Is it a simple administrative task to add one?

We don't have any 8 series owners participating here. :(

Email Jon Shafer and see if he's willing to set up an 8 series forum.

Dave,

A couple of keystrokes is all that it takes.

All of us here greatly appreciate your participation in, and contributions to our discussions...

If you think that we can muster up enough interest and
traffic for a dedicated 8-Series discussion group, then I'm a player.

Frankly, any means that we have of taking full advantage of your
esteemed knowledge will be actualized here.

Hint hint: name the venue, and you'll be the master of said
domain.

If you say 8-Series, then 8_series it is.

:D

(at no charge, of course!)

Also, if you tell your friends and clients that they can have an open discussion forum with minimal to NO (:tsk: ) moderation you can point them to the 8 series forum here, if and when Jon creates one...If your server does not have the capability to host an open BBS like this.

Mark, Tim, Clem, and Jon have graciously put up a free service for all of us to use, I'd suggest we all take advantage of that (I sure am:thumbup: )

Actually, I have very little domain knowledge on the E31 platform other than really basic stuff. However, Marty Saracino contacted me and asked for some help organizing his Northeast 8-er Springfest in May. See: http://theimaginarium.org/northeast_8er_springfest/

I was going to do a brake pad/rotor replacement and brake bleeding demo during the day and then give a presentation on big brakes in the evening, but a family commitment put a swift end to that. So I donated a gift certificate and gave Marty some contacts and ideas.

He has a very active community of E31 owners and it seems they could find a nice home here on Bimmerfest. If you contact Marty at msaracino@stny.rr.com, I'm sure he would be thrilled to moderate here or to find someone from his club who would.

 Terrific! I've added a link to it at the bottom of http://www.zeckhausen.com/BMW/E31.htm and I've fired off an email to Marty. I suggested he add a link to the forum from his SpringFEST web site.
