Child seats in rear center console?

Ok. Stupid question. Does anyone know if a child seat can be secured in the center console area of the rear seats in a X6?

Really love the X6 and can't wait to get into a TT engine! If only they had the X5 TT's now.

I don't believe so. I was able to sit inside the X6 3.5 at the dealership on Friday night. I can't imagine how you'd secure the seat over the center console in the back.

I am pretty sure, a company will come up with a solution for a child seat, or even a complete seat... maybe they are already working on it..
(this is a good business opportunity as a lot of people are requesting this)

It may not have the BMW logo and it may be a little on the expensive side (if the whole rear seat is to be replaced...

Yeah. There are a lot of people who need the occassional 5 person seat capacity. But don't need the extra utility. Great business opporunity. IF they can come out quickly, though.

I think that once the TT engines make it to the X5, then the demand by that market will be plenty happy there. Furthermore, BMW probably doesn't want to many products that are targeted toward the same target audience, thus X6's 4 seat clearly defines it's market. The future V5 and X5 should be plenty for 5 or 5+ capacity.
