Hi All,

This is my first post, so I thought I'd introduce to you my new winter car.

It's a 2004 745i, Grey on Black with 65xxxkm. Heated/Air/Massage Seats, Exec package, 19" 10 spoke factory, with of course BSA 17" winter rims with 225/60/17 Pirelli sottozero 210.

I've had the car for about 5 months now and it drives and handles better than I expected.

Snow here has been heavy to say the least this year, but the car handles great with the snow tires.

Since this is my first post, I'll keep this one short and sweet.

Nice ride. Welcome and congrats on the car. I think those are the best looking winter wheels I have seen yet.

Thanks for the pic too!

that's one hell of a "winter car" ... id rather but a toyota corolla and not risk bangin up the 7 in bad weather... ok maybe not a corolla, but you get the idea...

This is my previous car, 97 VW Jetta GT. My original intentions were to store the 745 until spring, and drive the Jetta during winter then sell it. I drove the 745 for about 2 weeks before the snow started falling heavy, and was so impressed with the way the car handled that I decided to buy winter tires and sell the Jetta. The heated seats and steering wheel were also a great plus!! If any misadventures happen to my 745, I'll just go out and get another one. I buy them to drive them!!!!

It's above 0C today, and they call for rain and +7C for tomorrow and Thurs., but we got 45cm of snow this past weekend. We just need another 15cm this winter to break the snow fall record set in '32. Other than this winter the last 5 years have been pretty good with little snow.

damn.. no way i'd drive my 7 in the snow.. but i guess if you have to, the 7's better than driving most cars in any type of weather!

welcome!

My wifes family lives up on the mountain (Garth and the Link area). We should arrange a day of cruising through Niagara on the lake during the summer.

For sure, visit maxbimmer.com also for other people with BMW's in our area. They setup cruises all throughout the summer.
