Thanks for taking the time to read this.
I'm researching buying a used 99 BMW M3 Vert with 80,000 miles on it. Looks like its in good condition.
Here's my concern.
The car dealership dyed the leather. The car looks fantastic, but I've heard dye jobs don't last and can prove a nightmare. They use a local professional to dye some of their cars. He said the leather wasn't in bad condition (doesn't look so) but that their client base likes a car to look perfect... and how else do you do that with a 9 year old car? You dye the seats. Otherwise you'd pay thousands to reupolster.
Could anyone provide advice? Experiences? Etc? Should I avoid this situation or is it typical? I'm in the early stages of research and haven't done a PPI yet.
Thanks in advance!
