Is anyone aware of a new '08 (or for that matter, new '07) manual transmission sitting unclaimed on a BMW dealership lot? My local dealer is looking for me, but I'm a little worried that not all of the dealerships properly code their inventory, so perhaps some manual transmission X3's won't show up on his search. Thanks!

There are 12 in the entire nation, all of them quite a distance from Wyoming. You should probably consider a factory order unless you need it right away.

I have an '07 here in New Mexico with 11,000 miles on it.

When I bought my car last week, Roadshow BMW in Memphis had just gotten in a black 6 speed with premium package.

You won't find one. Order it.

Probably the best way is to do an ED. That's how I got mine. Since you will likely have to order it anyway, why not go to Munich and enjoy the trip.

We had to order ours.... Good thought to get the manual... Order the options you want, and in 6-8 weeks you'll have it. (hey in the old days, 6-8 weeks was normal to get that toy you wanted from the back of the cereal box)

Cheers,

I ordered mine with MT February 11, and it just arrived at Port in New York today. Needs a week at the VPC, and then a day trip to my dealer.

Manual X3 on a dealer lot? HA! If there really are any, I bet they're canceled orders. Dealers stock cars that normal "saturday afternoon shoppers" will quickly snap up.

Yes, that is the expectation as to the bulk of the perhaps 12 new manuals on lots at any given time in the US. Nevertheless, I felt it couldn't hurt to ask given the great resource this board has been and continues to be. Thought I might just get lucky and learn of some gem sitting out there.

:stupid:

Go. You won't regret it.

The exchange rate will zero out some of the savings, but it is still worth the trip over.

Terry and others, yes please post any that you know of, since that is the first thing I am asking for in my resolution, the other will be money back.
