suspension help!!

hey so im plainng to get coilovers next month, just trying to figure out wut to do... ive asked a lot of ppl and they all have spacers in the front, so which kinds and how big? also like when i turn hard sumtimes i hear like rattling in the rear wheels, like its skipping or sumthing...someone told me my bushings are prob gone...uhh which ones to get and should i get them before coilovers or jsut install them at the same time. im planning to install sways too at the same time.

Rattling in the rear wheels? Do you hear it over bumps too? IF you do over bumps, I'd wager RSM's. If just while turning, I'd say RTABs (search if you don't know what they are).

Doesn't matter if you do them now or then, it will be easier with your wheels and suspension off, more room to work, and you don't have to take things off twice. Don't drive hard on it like that, though.

Why would you want spacers? Don't. On the E36 they really aren't necessary and your car will end up looking stupid.

On almost all coilover set-ups for the E36 you have to run spacers in the front for the factory wheels. It's because the coilover goes much farther down than the factory spring perch is, thus causing interference with the tire/wheel. typically a 5-10MM spacer is needed. Of course, for aftermarket wheels it all depends on your offset.

lol tahnks for the advice, um it only rattles while turning. and iono my offset... i have 18" e46 oem m3 rims.

would i not need to replace my bushings if i get RTABs? or are they the same thing... o would i need to replace control arms too? thanks

RTAB's are bushings. Rear Trailing Arm Bushing ;)

Control arms you only need to do if they are damaged.
