--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I live in the southern California sun and it has really done a number on my convertable tops plastic window. It is now a rigid crack producing problem. I feel like every time i put it up and down it creates a new tear/crack. i have shoped around a bit for a repair or replacement solution but every option seems way too pricey, it's just a piece of plastic! i have read a bit about the DIY option with the zipper and all but i still can't find a reasonable price for the window itself. I have also been told that even if i do that then the original stitching holding the zipper to the top might not hold. The cost of a new window and dealing with installing it doesn't seem to be far off of the cost of a whole new top. Does any1 have any info to help me make my decision or possibly an alternitive??? Maybe a less expensive window or top supplier? Any info would be much apprietiated!!!

hi i bought my one of ebay and I think it was america ebay, not sure. I will scan through my history and let you know. It was easy to do took about an hour. Would of been quicker but had a few attempts at it to get it perfect with no sags(ripples) in corners. Its all about get the corners in the corners. Looks as good as orignal except I got mine slightly tinted. Still is ok after over a year and half. The only problem is when you take the hood down and its in the boot it gets tempory fold marks but after the roof is put back up and left in the sun for an hour or so they heat and vanish. You are not ment to take the roof down if its under 21C.
