bought my bimmer back in january and have had the winter rims and tires on, car came with 17inch BMW 5star rims with 17/45/225 michelin pilot sport tires.
my question is can i get 235 or 245 put on or is that too wide for my 325i sedan, should i just stick with the 225's when getting summer tires to relace these ones

Why would you want to go wider? Do you track the car or are you just looking for some extra grip for spirited driving?

Is your car lowered at all? If not, Im pretty sure you can safely upgrade to 235's, but like I said, it may deem un-necessary pending on why you want the wider tires.

more for looks, i was behind one similar to mine the other day and from behind his tires looked wider then mine and gave the car a nice rear look. And no my car not lowered.
I dont do any track pretty well just my everyday ride. Now this all might be because i currently have my winter rims(16) with only 205's on them, will I notice a big difference when i put the summers on (225"s).

I just went from winter 16 205s to 17 225s and to me the difference is night and day. I kinda started hating my car's look on winter tyres since they were on from October. Now I love it.

Besides, you have good summer tyres and wheel design. michelin PS2 FTW, i got them as well! :)

Thanks for the replies, its probably because i havent seen the 225 on the car yet
