They are rated well (the best UHPAS tire on Tire Rack) and there are other members that are using them already and are pleased. See this thread. (http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=272775) They have a 40,000 mile treadlife warranty.

Already saw that thread. Was hoping for something more I guess.

I have 12,000 miles and am sick of the Contis being sort of "slushy" in the handling department. Does great in bad weather, but I am looking for something with better handling capabilities.

I have Goodyear Eagle RS-A's on my touring and they really are not up to the task either. I have 10k miles and will be replacing them soon.

My wifes 535 has the rs-a's on it. In dry weather it handles a TON better than my 530. Personally I think it is that the GY's have a harder sidewall than the conti's do. The conti's in wet/snowy weather are great, but still "slushy" as far as handling.

I have the B'stone RE960as on my Z4. I really like them. There is no tramelling and I feel that they handle very well. I have heard good things about the Goodyear's as well.

I know the B'stones have extra sidewall reinforcement. I do not track my car, it is my weekend cruser. I do take sharp turns, and the car sticks like glue. before I got rid of the runflats, the car "floated" a bit in the front. I do not have that issue anymore.

Both are outstanding tires. The Goodyear should have a bit faster steering response and slightly more dry grip, while the RE960 should stay smoother and quieter riding.

Not too worried about noise and smoothness really, I want responsiveness and grip in crap.

So ??????

Sounds like the GY F1 A/S will be the way to go for your case.

As long as it's got good grip in snow etc, and the handling is good
Thank you.
Your opinion is highly valued !!!!!
