didn't realize the wagon didn't have curtain airbags. is this due to the panoramic sunroof?

I'm not sure if it's due to the sunroof but the wagon has the front and rear side tube type head protection airbags.

i see the markers for the wheel, front passenger, and front sides (didn't get the rear sides), but where do the head ones deploy from? or does the tube come out of the side and protect the head as well?

and speaking of locations...i've read the posts re: location of speakers. can someone clarify the location of the L7 speakers in the wagon? and are those two little plastic covers in front of the rear roof speakers a part of the system?

Those are for the vehicle security system, I think they are interior motion detectors. The front HPS airbags deploy from the A-pillars (at least that's where they are in my 07) and protect the front seat occupants only see image below:

Edmunds has a good article about this topic here (http://www.edmunds.com/ownership/safety/articles/105563/article.html).

yeah, now i see the tag on the A pillar. amazing if they reach all the way back. my speaker question is due to the fact that a buzz under the driver seat was determined to be a bad speaker. i thought the under seat ones were subwoofers, but the tech told me that it was a regular speaker. i see under each front seat a flat speaker cover plate toward the outside of the seat, and two exit holes that look like they'd be from a subwoofer next to this. so is this all one speaker, and is it a sub or regular one?

I had always understood that there were small subs under each front seat, I don't have the L7 system but I do have subs under the seats too. I edited my last post to provide more accurate information about the HPS airbags.

i found the rear seat hps airbags in the wagon...they look like they deploy from the rear pillars...on the rear facing side of the pillar

The speakers under the seats are the subs,
The rear grills in the roof are in deed the rear speakers.
The logic 7 in the wagon is a waste, the system is not tuned for the open space and does not have enough power to move all of that air to make it a drastic improvement over the stock system.

The 5 does not deploy a curtain system as the 3 does, it is the older style tubes. they come from the A and C pillars.

The side bags are in the door.

Best of luck!

i find the L7 to be pretty nice even while running on one sub right now. i've had some decent cars, and the only system i liked better was the bose in an audi. if the L7 is not much better than stock in the wagon, the stock must be pretty darn good.
