so i just performed a valve adjustment to my 86' 2.7L ETA engine
i adjusted them to the factory recommended .25mm tolerances and it ran like a charm until i drove somewhere
one of my rockers (the fifth intake) started to tick, it seemed like it had loosened itself up once i put load on the engine
so this morning i took the cover back off and checked the tolerances of the rockers around the tick, it was the fifth cylinder's intake like i said before
i readjusted it and even ran it for a few seconds with the cover off to hear each one better and it was almost dead quiet
but once i drove it, the same rocker lobe loosed up and is ticking again
what can i do about it and what should i check?
what are the lobes on the rocker ends supposed to be torqued to?
and do i need a new rocker?

you might want to put some thread tape on there or locktite. pelican says

STOP rotating the eccentric and hold it exactly where it is, and tighten the 10mm locknut on the side. Once the nut is tight, re-check the feeler gauge

but the worst case scenerio is that the is starting to strip and youll have to replace it.
