Spacers on 535i Sport

I was wondering if anyone has used spaces with the standard wheels on the 535i Sport. If so, how did they look? How was driving performance affected? How big a spacer did you use.

I love the look of the 535i, but wish the wheels stuck out a little more, like the 550i or the M5. Will using spacers help with this?
