I am dumping my staggered RF tires on my 2008 335i coupe sports, and are deciding between these two tires.

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 all summer vs Godyear Eagle F1 All Season

Of course on the forum, summer tires win.

I e-mailed Goodyear, they told me to speak to a local goodyear store. (no help)

I will not track or race the car. I will not drive the car in the snow.

Pluses for all season are you can drive at 25-30 degrees in the rain.

Pluses for the all summer are steering response, and bettter performance.

How much am I giving up going with the all season? Will I be unhappy?

Is there some comparision test you can point me to.

Thank you in advance.

Although I don't have a direct comparison to point you towards I can tell you that you seem to understand the differences pretty well. The A/S tire will be a step down in dry grip and steering response, but will have longer wear, a smoother ride, and better cold weather traction. Both are outstanding in wet. I can also tell you that a fair number of 335i owners have been going to that F1 A/S tire and have been very happy with the tradeoff.

thanks for you post, I was going to go A/S but I am afraid to pull the trigger.

Looks like maybe I will go all season on different rims.

But really still undecided.
