Which year is the 330xi? I would lean towards the less mileage one, the better optioned one, the remaining warrantied one, etc. If you could give more info on both, it would be easier for us to give 'advice'. :)

The e46 330xi is a 2005 and the e90 328xi is a 2006. Both have premium, Step.

I'd pick the newer and shinier one! Go with the e90. My 2¢.

There is no E90 328 '06... BMW started to make E90 328i in 2007...

Has to be at least '07 model then...

I would go with the newer one, as others suggested. However, I think XI e90 models come with GM6 tranny, which is a top complaint of X3 owners, not sure about E90...

Good luck!

How does the older e90 330xi compare to the newer 328xi? Horsepower, improvements, etc.

330 has more HP and torque. It also weights a bit more...

Don't respond to this moron. If you look at his history of posts, he posts for absolutely no reason on vehicles that he has no intention of buying. I think he's trying to get his post count up?

So now I am a moron. Interesting. Actually I do not know anything about post count. If there is such a general manager ladder to climb, I could care less. I went for a test drive 2 weeks ago for an X3, so I must be posting for no reason and have no intention to buy. Newsflash: When shopping, no one ever buys everything they look at or inquire about. Some actually look and inquire at several vehicles without buying in order to narrow down their search, even though they dont buy what you love. Didnt even consider the xi because I was leaning toward SUV. After reading on the e90 forum, I am considering the xi. I take my time. I dont let anyone pressure me into buying anything. You might have different buying habits, I dont care what they are and I dont judge you. :tsk:

I'm PO'd because I've posted multiple responses to your questions without realizing that you are the same person posting in different areas with questions about different cars all the time. I don't ususally pay much attention to who the OP is, but I happend to notice that you were posting "do a search" responses on multiple forums, so I checked out all your posts.

All I can say is:bareass:

I was also going back and forth about E46 or E9x. That was until I went to the new dealer one mile from my house. They finally had cars on the lot, new and slightly used, and I could directly compare some very nice E46 cars to many new E9x cars. To me, there was just no comparison. Even though the E46 cars are nice, the E9x cars are simply gorgeous!!!

Bye the way, like you, I also have not yet purchased a BMW. My 1995 E320 Mercedes is hanging in there and I am hoping the newest 2009 E90 sedan will get a face lift that makes it look like the coupe. I think the front of the coupe looks super. I will likely keep a new BMW for at least 10 years, hopefully even more, so I want to be sure I love what I finally purchase. I loved my E320 when I bought it more than 11 years ago, so I want to love the next one too.

When posting some here have recommended that posting on another model forum when comparing models, might help. I followed the recommendation by posting in different areas.
As for posting "do a search". It seems that some feel this is the best advice, which I have been given. Just trying to help.

Let's keep on topic, please.
