alright i know a lot of people have been asking for this so i'll try my best....

-first off obviously you have to get the front bumper and remove the headlights from the car with the proper tools. i believe the screws are a hex key style.

-after removing the headlights from the car i saw that the clear is held together with the black housing by clips all around and also black silicone.

-first thing i did was take a really small flat head screwdriver and scraped as much of the glue that i could, that was helping hold together the pieces.

-after removing as much as i could, i took a bigger flat head screwdriver and slowly started to put it in the crack and slowly work them apart but there is a lot of glue in there.

-as i was doing that i was holding up a clip at the same time in order to get past it just enough so that it wouldnt catch again. however you have to be careful with the clips because they are on the actual balck housing and fragile, if you lift it to high it will break, i learned the hard way after breaking one.

-so i slowly went around the whole headlight with the screwdriver lifting the clips up and separating the clear lens from the housing. it is very sticky and you will see how much glue there is in there.

-after successfully separating the clear lens front housing, you will see that the black housing for the angel halos is also a separate piece but nothing is holding that to the clear lens so you can just pull that right out.

-on that piece where the angel eyes are housed is where the dreaded amber reflector is clipped on. it has three plastic pins that clip iinto the housing just remove the small amount of glue they put on to where pins clips and you should be able to clip it right out.

-when i got it out, since me and my father have a body shop what i did was use a scuff pad in order to clean the reflector and take the shine away to help the paint stick better.

-then i took a bottle of pro gloss black spray paint and sprayed them to be black like i wanted.

-after letting the reflectors dry i put the whole headlight back together and when it came to putting the clear lens back on the housing i put them together and added some extra glue jsut so it doesnt leak and suck...let it dry

-after that i actually tinted both parts of the headlights just for a little overall darker look but there you have it any other questions just ask

thanks! instead of just taking it apart.. alot of people usualy bake it in the oven for 4-5 mins until the glue softens then simply take it apart... then add more sealant type glue, and reseal...

So...I guess the amber can also be painted a reflective silver color for the clear corner look as another option to the tinted corners.

yea you can pretty much paint it any color you want, i didnt look into this but it aslo might be possible to order the actual clear one from euro cars...

Didnt read your entire post., but you can also bake your headlight to heat up the glue where you can just pull it apart, no mess and saves lots of time.

I've seen the thing about baking, but no where have I seen someone actually do it nor the temperature at which to bake it at. Anyone have any ideas? Otherwise, I'll just go to the german ebay site and buy some euro headlights there .

normally, baking requires a temperature of 250-275 F. Preheat for about 5-10 minutes..."bake" each headlight for about 6-7 minutes...be sure to monitor for overheating...you just need it hot enough to pull them apart (soften the adhesive)
