I have a '94 325is and the hood emblem isn't in the best of shape. Is it difficult to replace it myself? I don't want to scrape up my hood but I'd really like to replace the emblem.
Get a thin flat head screw driver, tape the tip off and any part thats going to touch the paint. Going in a circular motion gently pry off the emblem in a upward motion. If your really anal about your paint you can tape off the area around the emblem.

It's possible to switch the hood and trunk emblems right?
I believe they are the same size.

I've also heard of using a towel or rag to protect the hood/trunk from scratches. Do be careful, as a scratch there wouldn't be the end of the world, but would be terribly annoying to you.
