I just picked up a 2008 Z4 - I would like to swap out the stock bumper for the M bumper.
Anyone know what the cost of the parts are?

realoem.com is a good source for pricing parts.

By coincidence I have one to sell at a substantial savings, although I can not quote an exact price at this moment. It is "like new" off a car with only 2000 miles & includes both grilles, badge etc. complete. It was carefully, professionally removed & available in factory packaging, supported on a cardboard "pedestal" with a quilted, fitted cover for protection. It is currently finished interlagos blue so will not even by luck match your non-M car, but a new piece would have to be painted anyway. I would be very pleased to work something out with you. I should have a price idea by Monday or so. Jack

I have not carefully researched source options but had some free time to get BMW center prices: Bumper= 687.09, Kidneys= 45.09ea., Lower air intake grill= 91.54, Badge= 44.55. Total= 930.10. How about $550 + common carrier shipping? It's a big box. Thanks. Jack

NJRED, just checking to see if you found parts for your car. It would be great to work something out.

How about some pictures of your bumper?

Painting a new part is a lot cheaper than stripping a used bumper and re-priming and painting it to be honest.

If you have any interest, send me your e-mail for pictures. However there is nothing to be seen: it looks just like any other bumper off a brand new interlagos M. I will research re: the stripping, Are you stating that you factually know the margin of difference in cost & that a plastic part would correctly be stripped? Thanks. If you are just trying to set up considerations for a deal, fine. Let me know your compararables.

Yes I do

I have currently 20 vehicles

ranging from daily drivers to track only cars.

I have restored both newer and olders vehicles.
I deal with a body shop that restores, repairs and maintains many types for antique and current model vehicles.

Since Interlagos blue (being dark) would be difficult to paint over with Alpine white, it would have to be stripped. Unlike working with an unpainted part where you just paint and install.

you can send pics to my email FJMTG1 at Gmail dot com (avoiding spam bots)

You are asking me to purchase something on the internet, from someone I do not know, without pictures?

So, obviously I don't know about stripping etc. & since you do I don't need to look into it. Certainly I intended to send you pictures ie. request for address as I have never had occasion to need to learn to post photos here. Anyway, just thought it useful to indicate that the piece was from a new, as delivered M removed only as I modified the car. Pictures by Monday PM. Thanks for asking.

I now have some photos available for e-mailing if anyone has need of front panel & wants to see.
