I've been posting questions for awhile now and all of you have been great with your responses. We were debating between an E60 and MB350. We settled on the BMW but not an E60! I was browsing some other forums and saw and ad near us and went to look at the car. It is an '03 M5 in Carbon Black. It was too good of a deal on a really nice car to pass up. So, we ended up making a deal that night. So, no E60 but an E39 with 396hp. Thanks again for all the responses to my questions. Maybe in a few years, a new F body will appear in our driveway! I know, pix... maybe I'll learn how and post a few.

Congrats!!!! E39 is classic and has the best design. If you keep it low miles, I won't be surprised if it won't lose any value at all.

Not much to distinguish it. Just a fully loaded '03 M5 in Carbon Black with tinted back windows. Not a lot of Carbon Black M5s around but there are a few. I usually run around 280 from SF to San Mateo. I don't put too many miles on our cars and the M currrently has 56k miles. I'll try to post pix soon.

You "settled"? lol. Not really settling. Great car! I had an '03 E39 and loved it. Not an M5, but a great car all the way around.
