About a week ago, the windows and sun roof in my 1994 325IS stopped working. My gut feeling was that it was probably a fuse, but neither the fuse for the sun roof or the power windows were blown. I found it rather odd that both stopped working at EXACTLY the same time, so I turned to this forum for help. After an afternoon of research, I was pretty confident that my problem was the comfort relay. It seemed to fit the bill anyways. So I ordered the necessary part, and with the help of the Bentley manual, took apart the appropriate area to reveal the auxiliary relay panel. I was thinking to my self, so far so good…Well, the relay panel contained two relays. One in position 1 and one in position 2. I removed what I believed to be my problem, and grabbed my new relay. Curiously enough they were not the same. The relay I removed was a Bosh relay, exactly as you would find in position 13 in the main fuse box. I would have though that I was in the wrong box had the relay in position 2 not said something to the effect of “crash module” on it which Bentley correctly identifies in that position. So I grabbed the identical relay from position 13 and tried to roll down the windows…Nothing….Desperate, I placed the newly purchased comfort relay the socket and tried again….Nothing….

Does anyone have any advise as to why the difference in modules, or where else my relay would be located. I have looked everywhere under my dash for something that looked similar to this with no success. It is much too nice out to be without windows.

If anyone could offer some help it would be greatly appreciated.

Just bumping this up.

I am really hoping that someone has a good idea. I really do not want to take my car to the dealership.

Thanks.
