A few closeups of roof rails for anybody considering them for their X6.Also,did my own storage area comparision w/ a med size athletic bag and a 12oz Coke bottle. That's all I had in my car!!!! When the Auto Journalist were in town, all you really heard about storage was the standard BMW " 4 golf bags" line.My bag fit completely into the underfloor storage area, with a little room to spare.I could close the lid w/o pushing or shoving. The hardboard storage above the rear storage area is useful. It kills rear visibilty, but you have very little to start with in the X6.Thanks. I can't figure out if I like those roof rails or not. When I first started seeing spy pics, I thought the car needed them, but now I am not so sure. I wonder if they are only going to be an option on the V8, since they are not listed as available for the current build 3.5s, or if it's just a pre-production thing?
As always, great pics, PalBay.

As always, great pics, PalBay. I appreciate the nice comments.I keep hearing roof rails are going to be a dealer installed option???? I think there is some confusion right now concerning roof rails.Wish I had more info.Thanks.PalBay

Objection!!!
The one I drove (XDrive35i non-sport) had RFT tires and a small steel spare tire. I do not see it in these pictures.

Same with the Sport that I drove. You might be right about the spare.I'm sure I read in some BMW X6 literature that there was underfloor storage in the X6.I thought the whole point of RFT's was no need for a spare???!!!! The Black X6 had no way ( that I could see) to secure a spare.Maybe BMW took it out for the Press Launch:dunno:That's got my antenna up now....I would personally not like to lose that underfloor storage area....:confused:Thanks for pointing that out.
