Can anyone come up with why NO ONE has put in an offer? This thing is practically new, no damage no paint work... Its kind of dumb buying a new one when this is available...

I think you'll find much of the interest in these cars is concentrated along the coasts... a long haul from CO. You might get more responses by offering some shipping a$$istance.
Also, there seems to be an aversion to nav/idrive among e90/92 enthusiasts... whether the problem is with the unit itself or just with the added $2k, I'm not sure.:dunno:
Its not exactly what I'm looking for, but if it was closer to NC we'd at least have a discussion about it.
Bump for a nice car! Good luck with your sale.

I still don't get that, the iDrive really only takes a few minutes to master if you are used to electronics. All of the interfaces are far better than the non-iDrive BMW's, for example: oil level indicator, TPM, PDC, controlling the iPod and more are much nicer to use and look far better. Even if you don't like nav, the iDrive is still worth it in my opinion.
Also there are a lot of people out there that don't like the idea of Active Steering, i was one of them until i got in this car. I'm not trying to sell anyone on it because my car has the feature, but it works far better than i thought, and it makes for easy maneuvering at slow speeds, i highly recommend it.

The car is nice, and I too like the iDrive. The problem is the price. Not saying it is high, but you are selling to a smaller market. I was selling my bike a while back at 700 below blue book and it still took me over a month to move. ****, right now I am having the same problem with my lease swap. I figured with the increased rate from BMW, this would have moved fast, but no luck. Most people look for the low end BMW models, we are both selling to a more limited market. My lease being close to 700 and with a loan for 42k you are looking at around 840. It will sell, but it might take some time.
In FW you can get a 05 M3 vert at a BMW dealer with 14,000 miles for that much. To pricey

I don't think his price is that far off. Maybe 1-2k, but I'm sure he's nogitiable.
Nice car, shame you have to sell, but good luck!

This is nicer, faster, has 9,000 less miles and is far newer. I had a m3 vert at it wasn't nearly as nice or as fast as this car. And yes the price is negotiable.

I don't think it's the car. location or options it's just the economy. Alot of peopel just are not buying much let alone cars. People with the money either buy new or lease. People with less money or more expenses tend to go for 2-3 year old cars after most of the depreciation has hit.
Just keep trying I'm sure you will get a buyer. If you have a carmax in drivnig distance you may want to try there.

Not that this is an asking to lower your asking price or that I am interested in buying it ..I just came back from the localBMW dealership, they have a shi* load of M6s in the showroom, I also saw a 2007 brand new 335i with a "RED TAG SALE" tag that said that the car is now being offered for $43K. Its brand new with 10 miles on it...I was very tempted but then its too small for me....

It's the economy....... Seriously, the market for your car has decreased quite a bit. People are more concerned about making their mortgage payment than investing in a car. Most car companies are hurting at the moment. They are offering discounts/cash back/0% financing.....you name it. Love the car though, it is beautiful. Good luck with your sale.

For comparison's sake, today a local dealer offered me a 2008 335i Coupe (new) , silver w/ black leatherette, manual trans, heated seats, ipod etc, MSRP $45,425 for invoice, which is around $41,800 WITH 0.9% financing. What I don't understand is why so many sellers of used 2007 and 2008s don't realize that they cannot sell their cars for high $30s given the current market conditions. They're going to have to take a hit if they want to move the car. If I have to take a 6% loan for a 2007 that's priced at $38K, it's going to be the SAME PRICE as buying a new $42K car @ 0.9%, although with the new car I get a virgin with zero miles and 4 years/50K of warranty.

seanl, I'm having the same thought (and with trade in I save $2k in taxes too), but this likely isn't the right thread considering the car in question has about $6k more options on it than the car you've described.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't gotten back to anyone I have been really busy. I have sold the car and got real close to ask. I agree with some of the thoughts various people expressed but I still feel that my old car was worth every penny. There were something like 10 cars in the nation with my option/color combo. You can get the base 335 for cheap but I would pefere my car any day. Thanks for the help and support.

Bav, that is good news. For those with 3's, this can only give hope that resale values remain stable.
