What a gorgeous vehicle....BMW has created a masterpiece. This vehicle looks like the wet dream of every car designer....it looks like the kind of car that only appears in concept drawings but never gets built.

The problem is...it's the wrong engine. I mean, 15 mpg city....that's just ridiculous. We all know that it will probably get 12-15 mpg city when driven properly. :)

So where is the 3.0d? They build the 3.0 and the 3.5d for Europe but not for us? Again, BMW is leaving it's biggest customer out in the dust. Oh, and while you're at it BMW.....bring the 50 mpg 320d Prius Killer here too.

I would not be surprised if it gets 18/24MPG. The 6cyl X5 gets around 18MPG city and it is 500lbs heavier.

??

The X5 3.0i and the X6 35i are within 80lbs of each other and get the same fuel economy according to BMWUSA website. 15 city, 20 or 21 mpg highway.

That is the new EPA sticker. If you look below each number for city and hwy, there is a range the car is expected to get.

You are right on the weight. I misread the numbers.
