Everyone seems to be hassling JPM over that incident, but you know, I probably would have done the same thing. The press is very rude and inconsiderate and this type of thing happens all the time in their constant competition to get the best pic/story. Unlike most of us, F1 drivers rely upon their physical health to an extreme and something like that could have put him out for a race, a season or a career. I'm sure he regrets flying off the handle, especially on camera, but most of us can probably relate to a similar incident sometime in our lifetime where someone's carelessness really pissed us off.

I cannot blame JPM for being so upset. I'm sure it is bad enough to have cameras pointed at you all the time, getting hit in the head with one was probably just icing on the cake. In hindsight it is funny, but a carmera that size is a hefty piece of equipment that can cause some damage.

However it was clearly an accident... The man could not see him because the reticle is on the left side and JPM was looking the wrong way when he moved forward. [Crunch] Connie and the William guy did the right thing getting him out of there. I certainly wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of JPM.

He must have been in pain - a lot of us would have reacted the same way. Don't see what the big deals is - it's not like he punched the guy although he sure seemed tempted to...

I would have also reacted in some similar way. Look at the picture below, he got hit hard enough to break the skin. That would have hurt. He's lucky to Connie for lots of reasons.
