I have a few noises on my 328i that are annoying me to death. My door panels are loose and making a little bit of noise. I assume I just need new retainers?

The two noises that are the worst are the center console and what I believe is a heat shield for the exhaust. The center console noise is a rubbing noise where I believe it's contacting the passenger's seat. Has anyone run into this yet? If so what was your fix?

The heat shield noise is at idle. As soon as I bring the RPMs up the rattle goes away. I will probably just have to put it on a lift here at work and see if I can see what the problem is.

i just found new retainers for the same door problem for like 5 bucks. just take an old beat up one into any local part store and part match it if you can't find any bmw-specific ones. the center console rubbing the pasenger seat you could just back up and lay down the seat a bit to generally keep it away from the console, but there's no real way to push one away from the other that i know of. as for the heat shield check and make sure it's not just rattling from loosing a simple bracket, clamp, hook, or whatever it may be before you go thru replacing the heat shield; it may save you a few bucks.... good luck

Subwoofer knocked something on my rear deck loose and it rattles against the window. I just LOVE taking the interior apart :D It's so fun! SO FUN.

Mine used to come from the driver side B-pillar. It is gone now, but I do have a relatively loud "clunk" noise (sounds like worn suspension bushings) from the front suspension once in a while. It has only 1300 miles, and this is since it was 100 miles old. I'm too lazy to take it to the dealership, but I guess will have to, soon.

I have an annoying noise coming from the blower inside the dash for the middle vent. It starts chirping when my A/C is on and I hit any kind of bump.

I cant wait to fix it.

Okay, the center console noise actually appears to be coming from a loose side panel. While driving I can reach back and pull the center console towards the driver's seat and the noise stops for a short while.
