Looks pretty darn good. I'd say it was worth it. How often are you going to do that?

Looks great. You won't have to clay again for a while. Wash it every week if possible, every other is more likely. Wax every month-month and a half.

It's a pain, but after the process, you know it's worth it.

If your wax only lasts a month, month and a half, you need a better wax.

Having said that, I use spray on wax every time I wash the car between real waxings . . . and I wash it every week.

I do think 5 hours for a clay and wax is getting off easy though. You should probably add a light polish step and a paint prep step to make sure it takes all day. :)

Looks good. You're young, aren't you? :) I used to spend that kind of time on my car.....

Post those pics in your bimmerfest garage and change your "mein auto".

Gotta be young! ...........and good for him.

If I had known I was going to live so long - I would have taken better care of myself - and maybe have time to do things like detailing my cars.

Your efforts look good.

Use a sealant like Zaino and you'll only have to "wax" your car twice a year. Their quick detailer every so often will make it look good. Traditional monthly wax is a waste of time IMHO.

I have a fellow do it all for me. Ah, such are the benefits of money: throw it at something/someone to make your life easier.

Oh, and to tturedraider:
I have a PayPal account. I'll PM my email addy to you so you can make my life easier, too. Thanks.

I will surely do this, but you might not know about a little rule that paypal has enacted recently. You see, for dollar amounts above a certain level, one has to insure it. This dollar amount is $4 million. Now, since I only have $4 million, I can't possibly afford the $4000.00 insurance cost. Therefore, if you would wire me the small $4000.00 insurance premium, I will gladly paypal you the entire $4 million.

Nice looking car! Five hours is a lot of time, but look at the results and the feeling of pride and satisfaction you get. I wash my car every week, and find it very therapeutic for a stressful work week. I love to show off my car and want it to look its best.
