So ever since I bought my 99 328is 6 months ago occasionaly it would make a beeping noise inside while driving. It only beeps twice (sometimes three times) and then stops. Today I was driving and it beeped 4 different times in a hour. It doesn't show anything on the computer thing it just beeps. Does anyone know why that is? :dunno:

Same beep as the lights on/door open ? Could be a short in the wiring harness that runs to the left of the radio/heater control panel. Pull the heater control out & find the harness (cloth wrapped bundle) and reposition it slightly. Mine was pinched where it passes between the radio & behind the instrument cluster. Might need to remove the instrument cluster as well.

Very annoying, considered removing the gong (below steering column) to silence it, but that isn't the solution to the root problem.

maybe its the timer/memo function on the MID/OBC

Yes just randomly through the hour it would beep 4 different times beeping twice everytime. It does sound like it could be coming from OBC.
