Does anyone have any tips on removing KMAC style adjustable rear trailing arm bushings? (these are the ones made by Bavauto.) I went so far as to remove the rear subframe/axle carrier to get a better swing with the hammer.
I've tried:
1. Hammering them out while in the car.
2. Hammering with sledge hammer, out of the car.
3. Hammering with air hammer.
4. Tried to get a chisel under the head of the bolts.
5. Turned rapidly with air ratchet while hammering.
6. etc, etc, etc, etc....
What can I do to the these thing out of the car!
Thanks,
Cody

I'm studying the instructions and pics on the Bav Auto site, but I can't make out exactly how these bushings and bolts work. The instructions make mention of a cotter pin, the use of special plyers, and also suggest that you need the bushing removal tool. Go to the BavAuto site and locate the parts. They have an installation .pdf online.
I'll be interested in hearing how this is done... as I am interested in using these adjustment bolts.
Why are you removing them?

I have a bent trailing arm so.
The problem is that the bolts won't come out of the metal part of the bushings, so the trailing arm is still attached to the axle carrier.
