I have a 93 325I and im having a issue with the door locks..When i push down the driverside lock rod all doors lock and immediately unlock..so i cant lock my doors..the outside key things were disconnected by the previous owner (no idea why) Is that what may be causing the locks to act weird?

You CAN lock your doors by pushing all the locks down by going inside the passenger door. They should all stay down if you lock the driver's door when it's closed. You have to lock the trunk manually, too. My 325 does the same thing, but sporadically. It's not annoying enough yet to make me try to fix it.
Just make sure you don't drop your keys in the car and lock them in. I almost did that once.

All doors will unlock, because closing the driver's door without lifting the door handle on the outside automatically unlock the driver's door when you close it, which in turns unlocks the rest of the doors. Close the driver's door and enter the car via any passenger door and lock the driver's door. All doors will lock, and stay locked even after you closed the passenger door.

Locking your trunk manually means there's some sort of fault with your central locking system. The trunk is supposed to lock and unlock with the rest of the doors, whilst the key slot is in the "open" position. Only when locked manually (key slot in "locked" position) will it stay locked, even after the all doors have been unlocked via the driver's door. To open it, then you have to manually unlock it.

When I turn the key in the driver's lock, either the system doesn't work at all, or all the locks go down and spring back up. When the latter happens, I can sometimes lock them all by using the trunk lock. There must be a bad connection or short somewhere. The car did this from the time I bought it. Then someone tried to steal my car by breaking the driver door handle. I replaced the handle and saw that some of the wires in the harness had been pulled. I fixed them as best I could and the problem went away for about a month. Then it reappeared and behaves just like in the past.

Check the wiring harness in the trunk which runs between the body and trunk lid. You will need to pull the rubber insulation back to see if there are any damaged wires at the pivot point but this is a common source of central locking faults on e36's.

The Reason You Car Unlocks Itself Is So You Don't Lock Your Keys In Your Car.... MY CAR DOES THE SAME THING
