While wrenchin' around on my 320i, I discovered that my vacuum advance hose goes from the distributer to nothing... Yep, the previous owner cut it, and I can't find where it used to hook up. Can one of you take a look under your hood and trace the flex line for me? I would really appreciate any help you can offer. I found one spot on the intake manifold that has a cap on it, it could be the right connection, but I want to make sure. besides, why would that knuckle-head cut off the vacuum line and cap the connection???

Thanks in advance, and I can probably figure out your directions with some good landmarks, but a picture would be awesome! :D

The capped of connection on the manifold is probably the where it goes. The connection on mine is right below thw cold-start injector. You will have to reset the timeing with the advance connected.

i believe the advance should not be connected when timing. otherwise it will be adjusting your adjustments
