Has it been announced what options and colors are available on the 2009 X3?
And when are the new model years available? October/November?
I'm looking at the current 2008 X3 and wondering if there is any compelling reason to wait for the 2009 model and just pull the trigger now and enjoy the summer in a new X3.
I'm looking at A/T, Premium Package, comfort seats, heated seats, privacy glass.
Thanks.

Typically, the factory shuts down for August and picks back up with '09 production the first week in September.
If you can wait it out, there is supposed to be a "final fix" for the loathesome 6sp automatic at that time as well.
As for new colors and options, little is likely to be changed or added, save for an increase in price.

There's likely going to be another price increase for the 2009 model year, which likely starts in Sept. or Oct. Colours and options will be relatively unchanged.

Thanks to both for the info.
I think I will either get a CPO 2006 (prior to the '07 trans issues) or hold out for the 2009 and expect that i may have to pay more than the 2008 but with the potential that the 6sp auto will be "fixed".
Cheers.

Smart move. A good friend of mine just purchased a 2005 X3 3.0i steptronic. He was originally looking at a new X3, but after hearing about all of the transmission issues he paused. I tried convincing him to get a manual, but since he insisted on automatic, he decided to get a CPO. I have also have an X3, a 2006 3.0i 6-spd manual. And no, I have no transmission issues ;)
