Our new X3 is "en -route" to the East Coast - does anyone know where it comes in ? South Carolina, New York, elsewhere ? trying to guesstimate timing - thanks

I believe that it comes into NY. Mine is enroute as well. Actually it is on the Courage that should dock tomorrow.

Congrats cer2225 !! ours left last Friday and I think the crossing is roughly 11 days - with a NY landing and CT destination we have a good chance of getting by 6/7 .

For the North East, it should go to Port Newark. If you picked up your car in Munich and are waiting for re-delivery it will go to Newark.
BMW also uses Charleston SC and Brunswick GA.

No ED for me just a straight order. Unfortunately mine will have to wait until I get back from vacation on Monday the 16th but I think you are right ubermax.

Mine is on the Courage as well... still slated to make port tomorrow in NY/NJ, I just checked the map. I have yet to find out if there is a way to track it over land, on it's way to me in VA.
I don't know anything more than you do concerning dates, I guess it depends on how long it takes to get through customs (potentially longer if you took ED and it was driven in Europe), and how soon it gets on a truck from there.
If anyone knows of ways to track the cars overland, please share!

US delivery cars clear customs while they are on the ship. ED cars have to go through customs at the port. ED cars are subject to search.
After that the cars go to the VPC at Port Newark. Customer owned cars have priority at the VPC. Still, if the VPC is busy it can take awhile to get through. If a car has safety related shipping damage, it will be repaired at the VPC.
After that you have to wait for the truck. It took our X3 6 or 7 weeks to get from Amsterdam to South Carolina including clearing ED customs. We got lucky.
AFIAK you can't track your car on-line once it leaves the VPC. You could try calling BMW NA on the 800 number. Or maybe call the trucking company with your VIN.

They don't use Port Newark any more, all BMW's go to Port NEAT, Jersey City, NJ
cheers
