OK, have searched for these, but no one apparently is as dumb as I am ;)

1)Any chance I can cram an M3 engine in my 90 325iC? Does it have to be year compliant?(I have a chance to get an engine from a rear-totaled recent M3).
2)The largest wheels I have been able to find are 17x7.5. Can I go bigger? Where can I find em? Can I mod to fit 18 inch Z4 wheels?
3)How can I add rollover protection - roll bar, A pillar bar (ala Saab), headrest hoops?
4)I have an AT, can I retrofit an SMG package? Or other Tiptronic shifter package?
and last,
5) Anyone know where I can get a radar guided laser to keep birds from sh*tting in my car when I have the top down???

OK, keep in mind that I love my car, and am planning to keep it for at least the next 10-15 years, so I am trying to build a car that best suits my driving style (or lack thereof, lol).

I don't have the technical info for ya, but as for the trans, why not a 5sp manual. Your car would be fun as hell with a stick! SMG may be to complicated to setup and maintain. If you go on www.bimmerforums.com I'm sure you'll find people of have done that tranny swap among other mods to E30's. I noticed a lot of E36's on that site with auto-manual swaps, I assume that is a much more involved project. Post up some pics of your cabrio, would love to see it. Good luck:drive:

Of course it's possible, just not practical. It's going to take tons of fabrication and custom parts (read: it's going to be really expensive) and this don't even include the electronics.

I don't know if you can go bigger but if you do, the ride and handling of your car will go down the drain.

Don't know but your local CCA club can probably help you with that.
Don't know about 4)
Wish to have 5) too.
