Given the really nice weather today, and the fact that I haven't treated the X3 to a coat of wax this year yet, I went ahead and washed/waxed it this evening. I didn't detail the interior, but that'll have to wait until after our trip to Deutschland. Enjoy =)

Good ol' fashioned BMW styling (at least for the front)!. None of the awkward eyebrows or odd curves here.

Clear, crisp xenons. If you're on the fence about ordering an X3 with it, GET THEM!

I really like the shape of the hood......it reminds me of the X5 actually. I don't like how all the newer BMWs have a huge bulge over the motor, presumably to comply with European pedestrian safety standards.

The controversial implementation of the Hofmeister kink in the D-pillar. Looks fine IMO :dunno:

The "flame surfacing" I guess.

Dusk reflections........and the shark fin.

Interior's still in great shape, including the driver's seat!

Any Tar Heel fans in the house? :bigpimp:

Wow, nice job. That ride still looks great after all the miles...looks basically brand new.

Very nice! Looks fantastic after all tha ttime and mileage. I don't think I've ever kept a car beyond 60k miles. I have about 2 more weeks to wait for my 08' X3 and you can bet I'm gonna take the time to get some nice shots the day I take delivery of it. I'll be sure to post them here on the forum.

Great pics. Thanks for sharing.

Well kept. X3 looks new.

Our X3 is at 24K. Hope I can keep it looking as well when it hits 61K.

Is that a 328/335 peeking from the garage?

Great shots and nice job on the wax. Parking on the street here give a different result for me but I knew it would happen so it ok. I would love to try to have a car and my own garage one day if I ever move to a suburb.

Yup. That's my mom's '06 325i sport, purchased CPO last fall.

Congratulations! You've done an admirable job in maintaining your X3! It looks as if it just rolled off the showroom floor.

Looks great. Do people still think its new? We get that all the time on ours.

What are you using on the cladding? I'm going to zaino it this weekend and was contemplating whether or not putting z2 on the cladding.

Thanks for all the kind posts.

As for the black cladding, to be honest, I haven't done anything to it. I know some X3s have shown some fading in the wheelwell "fender" portions, but there hasn't been anything I've done except the usual soap + water.

Slight problem. Um, I really like the 118i rental we have in Europe. It's also Alpine white, with black cloth, steel wheels, and a manual gearbox. Amazing workhorse, and still gets 45 miles to the gallon on mid-grade petrol. I hope the love will still be there for my X3 when I get back this weekend. :eeps:

aw Rob your missing out!! Try keeping a car over 250,000 miles. Ive done that..it was an old e34. It has over 300k on it now, my friend keeps it going. It isn't that bad. But it did equal many busted fingers and dirty clothes. High mileage Bimmers are only for the extreme DIYer.... But 60k? High mileage? HA! Thats low mileage for me. My e36 is pushing 160k. And I drive it about 20k a year! BUT I have to change out an expansion tank reservoir this wkend, Im leaking coolant in the engine bay. Its not a hard job, about 50 bucks for the parts, 35 bucks to change the coolant and 1 hour and a half to do the job right.

Well I wouldn't mind keeping a car that long. It's just that good leasing opportunities always seem to present themselves to me so I go for them. Leasing just seems to make sense to me so I do it...for now. I'm sure te time will come when I purchase instead of lease.
