Please dont shoot as I am an audio novice.
My outgoing 545 had the IPod connector set-up in the glove-box. In my haste to order my 3coupe, I did not have the IPod option installed. The 3's do come with some type of "jack" in the arm-rest.
Questions:
- is it worth it to have the dealer un-install the ipod unit from my 545 when I turn it in and have him re-install in my new 3? If I remember correctly, the part was around $350 and the labor anther $150.
- if I dont have them swap it, will the standard mp3 jack thing interface with my ipod?
What would be the difference? Is the sound quality lessened?
