Hello all

The car is a 95 m3 w/ vanos, water pump, stat/housing, & radiator done within the last year. There are no leaks at all and coolant is full.

Last night a relative of mine washed his car next to mine while my hood was open. The engine of my car was wet.

I do not have any mods but a Cosmos intake with whatever sensor connects to the stock air box exposed.

The car overheated today while driving. I only drove 15 city blocks with the A/C on. It was also raining. The temp was pinned to the right, my A/C felt weak, and red light was on (no CEL)

It was pouring outside and I could not check if the aux fan turned on.

I slowly drove home and made it back in 5 minutes.

After turning the car off for a while, then back on, I did extensive testing WOT testing and the temps were fine. The aux fan turned on when needed. Everything was perfect.

What could have caused this problem? I am afraid to drive the car far now.

Any suggestions would be helpful

Thanks

that sensor thats suppose to go in the air box, where'd you position it? cuase that kinda regulated how the coolant flows.

Where was the water on your engine?
I would check your oil and be sure it is not milky colored.
